BETTERING OUR SCHOOLS. SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY.

Giving back to our community is what drives us at Dolan Auto Group. It's why we're so excited to announce the return of the Dolan Class Project.

Each year, we're inspired by the amazing class projects submitted by local teachers. These projects better our schools and all of northern Nevada. This year, we're taking $100,000 and breaking it down to help one lucky school and 15 classrooms throughout our region!

SUBMISSION DETAILS

Please submit a 1-2 minute video giving an overview of a community project you will do with your students, as well as an explanation of how you would use the funds to improve your classroom, school, or student's learning experience. For SCHOOL project submissions, your community project should involve the student body as a whole. Classroom projects will include the students in each respective class. The project does not have to be completed before video submissions, we are just looking for your brilliant idea!

What is the difference between the two submission categories?

Class Category:

Submission created for a classroom upgrade/need by the class’s students and their teacher. If one class is

coming together and submitting a need that would benefit the entire school that submission would be best

suited for the SCHOOL category. Clubs and sports fall under the CLASS category.

School Category:

Submission created to fulfill an upgrade/need that would impact the entire school/majority. The project is

known and executed by the entire student body—can be led by one class or group.

Can a school and a class within that school enter both categories with the same video?

We would love to have your school submit as many class projects as possible. However, we ask that you enter

different videos for each submission.

For example:

One video submission highlighting the need for the school and what your school would do to engage the

community if awarded the funds. One video submission highlighting the need of a particular class and the

community outreach project they would like to complete if awarded funds.

How long should the video submission be?

1–2 minutes

What should be included in the video submission?

The video should focus on the community engagement project your students would like to complete as well as

the need of the classroom or school, depending on the category you are submitting in, you would like to

address.

Who should be included in the video submission?

Students, teachers, administrators, etc. Students MUST be included in the video submission. We want them to

be involved in the project as much as possible and aware of the need and the community outreach you plan to

tackle.

Do community outreach projects need to be completed beforehand?

NO! Feel free to complete your community engagement project if/when you receive funds if that is the best fit

for your class or school.

How does community voting work?

Everyone can vote once per day during the voting period.
