  • worst sounding 10 speaker premium sound system

I love the style and redesign but the sound system takes everything away from all this. There is no sound from the rear speakers that can be heard of any quality. Even when fading everything to the rear there is very low poor quality sound. The complaints are starting to build up about the substandard system when reading other sites. Lexus quality has taken a major turn down on this model 10 speaker premium sound system. I traded in a 2016 IS 200t that sounded great! I had a 2018 ES 350 loaner while I had it in for for this problem that sounded great. I have had older Lexus models that have sounded great but this system has a major problem getting power to the rear speakers. Lexus has said it is performing to Spec. The Lexus dealer service department says they heard the complaint before but cannot do anything. This takes away from the whole new car experience and the pleasure of driving. Future buyers beware of this problem. Check it out if you look at one and try fading to the rear and hear it for yourself. Lexus seems to not take this seriously yet.
  • LUXURY-Best word to describe this car.

This is my first time owning a Lexus and after three weeks of driving this car I might be a Lexus customer for life. I have always gone to the extreme when purchasing new vehicles, not only changing manufacturers but also vehicle styles as well (truck, car, SUV, etc). I am not going to bore you with all the great things about this car as basically everything in their brochure and what they say online is correct. The only thing I wanted to mention after three weeks of ownership is I was shocked to learn that the exterior rear-view mirrors have to be manually folded in. I thought all new cars, no matter their price had power folding mirrors so this came as a surprise to me. There are two other items I will mention after I have driven the car for several months and that is the gas mileage (I have the ES300H-Hybrid) as I have just filled up the gas tank for the first time and will manually calculate the mileage after the next few times I fill up. The other item is the acceleration as is does not seem to have a lot of get up and go. Since it is a brand new car they recommend not accelerating or braking too fast/hard for the first several hundred miles so I will report back and will let you know (I am sure I will be a little disappointed as my previous car was a BMW 328i with a twin turbo engine) but it still will not change how much I love this car. I gave the performance rating an 8/10 as I know German cars like BMW and Mercedes are built for performance but I was looking for a quite, smooth riding car and not necessarily for performance. The value rating of 9/10 is due to the fact that when I started the process of looking for a new car, the dealership only had one 2019 model in their inventory so when I purchased my car they had to look at other dealerships for the color choices that I wanted and they only came off the MSRP $500. The base model price for my car was $42K but ended up costing $57K in the end after the options were added so $500 off MSRP is not a drop in the bucket hence my 9/10 value rating. Overall I am very please with this car and would highly recommend you take it for a test drive and see for yourself how luxurious this car really is to drive.
